Week of January 2-6th

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had time to rest and relax while enjoying family and friends during the break. I must say that I enjoyed my break and I am ready to get back to school with the second half of our year.

We WILL have a story this week. Music of the Stone Age is a nonfiction, Time for Kids article focusing on author's purpose. This is a great story to ease into as we start the year off with a short week. STAR homework and all tests will be on Friday.

This week, we will begin mid-year DRA testing. Each student is tested individually on fluency and comprehension.

We have early dismissal on Friday, January 13 at 11:30am. Please notify me if there is a change in your child's transportation on that day. There is no school January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Classes will resume Tuesday, January 17th.
