Week of April 2-6

We are finished with MAP testing for this year! Most students met their Spring goal but more importantly, ALL students increased their score from the Fall. WAY TO GO!!! Thank you for your work and support at home. It is greatly appreciated. We have nine more weeks of learning with some new material. We will also have our last round of DRA testing in May.

Market Day was phenomenal on Wednesday! The students did an amazing job with their signs and products/services to sell. They also did a great job selling their goods and services. They really enjoyed shopping in the other classes. Hopefully you were able to view the pictures and videos on ClassTag and Twitter.

Our field trip to the Main Library went well. The children's room looks totally different since they have remodeled. I know your child would love to show you around as well as check out some books. Library cards are free if you reside in Richland County and you may check out up to 60 books! There are also other events, such as story time, that take place at the library. You may visit their website or any of the branches for a schedule of events and more information. Happy reading!

Field Day is Thursday, April 12, 2018 for K-2. Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes this day since we will be outside most of the day.

Our Annual Father/Daughter, Mother/Son Dance is scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6-8pm. You may purchase tickets in advance or at the door. (If you need another form, let me know.) This is an enjoyable night to dress up and have some fun dancing with your son/daughter. See you there!
