Week of April 1-5th

I can not believe that we are now in our last nine weeks of school! This year has flown by! Only two more weeks until Spring Break! We will start new units in Science and Social Studies as we begin the fourth quarter of school.

Market day was awesome! The students worked hard on their goods/services and most of them sold out! They were also able to experience the opportunity to buy goods from the other classes.

Please remind your child to be on his/her best behavior at all times, especially during instruction and small group. This is when new concepts/strategies for learning are being taught and it is crucial that he/she is focused and pays attention. We want to make sure we maximize our instructional time together to receive the highest growth in student achievement. Thanks for your support.

I have noticed some students are forgetting to bring their reading book to school. We use our reading books daily and it should be returned to school daily. Please remind your child to make sure he/she has placed it back in his/her bookbag after completing assignments at home.

The students did a great job producing their severe weather videos! We were able to view them in class.  I have completed my full two weeks of teaching responsibility; however, I am still teaching  ELA and Social Studies.
