Week of August 22-26

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We are already off to a wonderful start of our 2016-2017 school year. The students enjoyed sharing their All About Me bags as we learned more about them. We will continue to build relationships and learn the rules and procedures in the classroom. We will begin with our content areas this week. (The skills/units of study are listed below.) Your child will also begin homework this week. Most of the time, spelling homework will be due on Fridays and reading logs due on Mondays. With the reading logs, your child may choose the story we are reading for the week OR he/she may choose a book from home to complete the reading log. If your child has math homework, it will be due the next day.

Your child should have come on with a fundraiser packet on Friday. All the information needed is given in the packet.

If you have not signed your child's RUP form, please get that done as soon as possible. We will be using the computers soon and we do not want your child to miss out. He/she may not be able to use the technology if the form has not been updated. You may log into Parent Portal to complete the process. You may access Parent Portal from the Richland Two homepage. Once you are logged into Parent Portal, click on "Returning Student Annual Update" and complete the information. (If you have any questions, please let me know.)
