Week of September 5-9

This week will mostly consist of testing. We will take our Reading MAP test on Wednesday and our Math MAP on Thursday. I will also conduct DRA testing on each child. (Test scores will be shared during fall conferences.) We will introduce rules and procedures for small group and practice station procedures. This will make an easier transition as we move into small group instruction and station work the following week.

We will review the previously taught skills this week while we are testing. There will be no spelling words this week; however, we will have a story, My Places.

Cookie dough orders are due Tuesday, September 6th.

Please plan to join us for Open House on Thursday, September 8th from 6-7:30pm. This will be an opportunity to discuss curriculum and other information pertaining the classroom. You will also be able to sign up for conferences which will be held Thursday, September 22nd. Mr. Franklin will begin with a general session then there will be two sessions lasting about 30 minutes each after that.

Fall Picture day is Monday, September 12th. (You should have received information in your child's folder.) Each student will be photographed. Please plan accordingly.

Remember to return your field trip form and payment for our field trips.
