Week of October 24-28

Thank you to all who came out to Literacy Night on Thursday! We had a wonderful time as we engaged in activities involving reading and literacy. I posted pictures on Class Dojo as well as Twitter for your viewing.

You should have received a letter on Thursday from Ms. Gore about second grade testing that will take place October 25-27th and November 1-2nd. Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and arrives at school on time, especially for those days. If you have any questions after reading the letter, please let me know.

I can not believe the nine weeks is already over. Students did a great job adjusting to the start of second grade as we mostly reviewed.  Assignments and tasks will increasingly become more difficult as we learn new content information. Thank you for your support and assisting your child with homework. It helps to review class assignments and prepare for the next day. Report cards will be issued Thursday, October 27th.

Red Ribbon Week is this week. Please click here  for activities that will take place.

The new Koger is having a "Moonlight Madness." You may click here for the flyer. This will be an amazing way to end the week of testing and celebrate report card grades while at the same time building a community partnership with Kroger. I hope to see you there!
