Week of September 4-8th

We have completed our first full week of second grade! The students remembered the rules and procedures as we added our curriculum. We are working on reading, following directions and persevering through problems, questions and assignments.

Thank you to all the grandparents who came to eat breakfast with your grandchild on Friday. I enjoyed meeting those of you who stopped by the classroom. We appreciated you taking time out of your busy schedule to visit.

Please plan to attend Open House on Thursday. At this time, we will discuss curriculum and other important information about the classroom. Thank you in advance for adjusting your schedule to be here.

I noticed that there are a number of students who play sports. If you send me a schedule, I will make every effort to attend a game. I do like to support the students in their activities outside of school. I have been to a number of events, not just sports.
