Week of August 27-31st

WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!!! We had a wonderful first three days of schools learning rules and procedures for the classroom and school. We will continue to practice rules and procedures and we begin a little curriculum this week.

We will start our beginning of the year testing this week with DRA and MAP. With the DRA test, I test each student individually to determine his/her reading level. The MAP test given on the computer. I will begin administering the DRA test Monday and MAP testing will be Wednesday and Thursday. 

Thank you for returning all paperwork from last week. If you have not done so, please return any forms you have ASAP. Also, please make sure you have updated your information on Parent Portal which includes the RUP. Your child will not be allowed to use the computer if it is not updated. 

You should have received an invitation for ClassTag. This is a means of communication I will use throughout the year. You may also send me a direct message via ClassTag.
