Week of October 8-12th

The Book Fair starts this week. Please review the flyer that was sent home. If you send money with your child for the book fair, please place it in an envelope with your child's name, my name and the amount in the envelope. I will allow him/her to go during non-instructional time.

Cookie dough will be back Wednesday! If your ordered, please pick it up on Wednesday. We have no place to accommodate your orders if they are not picked up.

Make plans now to join us for Literacy Night on Thursday, October 11th. We will have two second grade rooms set up with literacy activities for you and your family to explore and enjoy. You may also take this time to visit the book fair to make a purchase. We have taken care of dinner because pizza will be served. Your child may also dress up as his/her favorite storybook character. You don't want to miss this fun-filled evening!

Please make sure you check your child's green folder daily and blue folder on Thursdays. If there are any papers that are not needed, please discard them. You may also want to remind your child, as I do daily, to turn in his/her homework, especially homework journals on Thursdays.

When graded papers are placed in the blue folder, please review the graded papers, sign and return the ENTIRE packet. I will send them all home at the end of the semester. Thanks for your cooperation!
