This week will be a little off schedule with the various activities we planned. Monday and Tuesday, Ms. McCloud will finish up her unit plan with the students. Wednesday is Field Day. Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes for Field Day. We will be outside most of the day for the events and I want them to be able to safely participate. Students may bring money ($1-5) for the ice cream truck. If possible, please send the money in an envelope indicating the child's name and amount on the outside of the envelope.
Thursday is Market Day. Please make sure your child has his/her booth, items to sell and money. Students may bring in their Market Day items on Tuesday and Wednesday. This should be a wonderful opportunity for the students to show off their good/service as well as buy items from others. This is a real-world experience to conclude our economics unit. I will be sure to post pictures and/or video on Class Dojo and Twitter.
Friday we have early dismissal at 11:30am. If your child's transportation changes for that day, please notify me in writing.

Last week we finished creating our books about animals and figurative language. I can not wait for the students to present them this week. They will also be sharing their work with a group of Kindergarten students. I am excited to watch them become teachers! I look forward to all the activities we have planned for this week.
