Week of February 11-15th

Please join us for Math Night on Tuesday, February 12th. We have a number of engaging activities planned. You may shop at the book fair from 5-6pm. Classroom activities are from 6:05-6:45 then from 6:50-7:30 pizza will be served in the cafeteria. (You may also go to the book fair at this time.) The book fair will also be open during school hours. If you would like your child to make a purchase please send the money in an envelope with the child's name, amount, "book fair" and my name. We will make sure he/she goes during a non-instructional time.

We will also have a Jewelry Sale on Tuesday, February 12th. Everything is $5.00! If you would like your child to shop, please send the money in an envelope labeled "Jewelry Sale" and include your child's name along with my name. We will make sure he/she goes to shop.

You should have received information about our African American Wax Museum. Students have been researching and working on their information for their speeches which we plan to sent home later this week. Please review the speech with your child so that he/she is prepared for the presentation which will take place on Monday, February 25th at 9:30 and 12 noon. The presentations will be in the form of a wax museum and will last about 15-20 minutes.

February 14th is Valentine's Day. We will not have a celebration; however, if you would like for your child to bring Valentine Cards to share, that will be fine, as long as he/she brings one for each student. (There are 18 students in the class.) Please let me know if you have any questions.

We have early dismissal on Friday, February 15th. Please send a note/email if your child's transportation changes for that day.  There is no school Monday, February 18th
